Integrated Transport Authority
Devolution hands combined authorities transport powers faster than it hands them organisational answers. This programme works through the question properly: what integration actually means for your geography, what your authority must be able to do, and how to organise to do it. It’s built on design sprints I’ve run with combined authorities across England, benchmarked against Switzerland, Norway and London, and it ends with a decision-ready blueprint rather than a discussion document.
Vision-Led Planning
Traditional transport planning extrapolates from today. Vision-led planning works backwards from the place you want to reach — the Swiss build their entire system this way, starting from the destination timetable and deriving the projects from it. This programme teaches your team the method and applies it to a real corridor or place, so you finish with a plan and a capability at the same time.
Becoming an Innovative Team
Innovation programmes usually fail because they treat innovation as something you bolt on. I work with your senior team on the thing that actually determines whether you’re innovative: how you make decisions. Built from my time leading innovation at TfL and tested with government departments and operators, the programme covers decision speed, reversibility, evidence standards and empowerment, and it ends with changes your team commits to on the day.
